Isn’t it true that from time to time, you get so focused on the next project, the next obligation or the next plan that you end up feeling disconnected? Maybe a little lost? Unsure of how to get back on track? And uncertain about what still makes you happiest?
Yeah, I know the feeling all too well myself. It can happen to any of us when we stay down at the micro level of living. Focused on every detail, every task and every way to prove our value.
I would like to point out, by the way, proving ourselves to others is all external validation. Where is the internal work? Do you take the time to stop and pat yourself on the back for what you’ve accomplished? Do you take note of the joy or ease you’ve created for others? Do you recognize which tasks actually bring you joy? And which tasks drain you?
Probably not. It’s so super easy to disconnect from our true worth. And I beg you to hold tight to what you know to be true about yourself. Here’s why: when we set clear intentions around how we want to feel, or what we want to accomplish, we strive to make our inner world match up with our outer world. Walter Payton has an amazing quote that sums up exactly how we know we’ve accomplished this inner/outer mirroring…
“When you’re good at something, you’ll tell everyone. When you’re great at something, they’ll tell you.” ~ Walter Payton
So, what is the world reflecting back to you in terms of how they view you? Is it congruent with how you would like to be seen? If so, BRAVO! Huge applause for you. Keep it up! And don’t stop doing the inner work.
If not…I have a few questions for you to ponder:
- What steps do you need to take to shift your life to be more YOU?
What do you need to remove from your life that is holding you back?
What do you need to add to your life to feel more complete?
What do you need to stop hiding from?
What do you need to embrace about yourself?
Where do you need to build confidence?
It’s time. We’re all waiting to be even more connected to the real you. Don’t feel like you have to hide!
Pop over to the Facebook page to share what shifts you are committed to making. Or, shoot me an email! I always love to hear from you.
Peace, love and momentum,
